FAILTE IRELAND WEST REJECTS CLAIMS ABOUT CHAIRPERSON PADRAIG O’CEIDIGH

Fáilte Ireland is disputing claims that the Fáilte West Tourism Forum has not met under the Chairmanship of Pádraig Ó Céidigh.

Earlier this week, City Councillor Pádraig Conneely claimed the Galway businessman has not been able to chair meetings as he’s "too busy."

However, Fáilte Ireland says the newly formed Regional Tourism Forums only came into effect last May.

A spokesperson says the first meeting has only been scheduled for next week, as they didn’t want to hold a meeting during the peak tourism season.
