FAILED GALWAY ELECTION CANDIDATE FAILS TO SUBMIT DONATION DOCUMENTS

The Standards in Public Office is still waiting to hear from an Independent Candidate who ran for election in Galway West last year.

Thomas King of Kiltulla, Oranmore is facing prosecution and hefty fines for failing to disclose donations and expenses to the Standards in Public Office Commission.

Last December a report on the Election by the Commission revealed he had failed to submit a Donation Statement and an Expenses Statement, which he’s required to do by law.

The Commission sent files to the DPP via Garda headquarters concerning 9 candidates including Mr King last August.
