EYRE SQUARE CHRISTMAS MARKET GETS GO AHEAD

It’s all systems go for the Eyre Square Christmas market.

The Galway City Business Association has clinched a deal with UK organiser Alan Hartwell who’s agreed to hold Ireland’s first Christmas market here.

It’s after intense negotiations over the past few days between the Galway Association and Galway Gardai over a licence to sell mulled wine and beer at the market.

Galway Gardai are said to be happy with the proposed market plan and crowd-control measures.
