EXTRA FUNDS TO COVER GALWAY WEATHER COSTS

More funding has been sanctioned to help Galway City and County Councils deal with exceptional costs associated with the recent severe weather.

53 thousand euro of this funding will go to the City Council, with 661 thousand euro going to the County Council.

The local authorities will use the money to cover unexpected costs incurred from the freezing weather conditions and the subsequent thaw.
