EXPLOITATION OF FOREIGN WORKERS WIDESPREAD IN GALWAY

Galway companies who exploit eastern European workers are sullying Ireland’s international reputation.

That’s according to leading West of Ireland union official Michael Kilcoyne, who says 14 cases which he had pursued in Galway in 2008 had found employers to be at fault.

Mr Kilcoyne says ‘No Irish’ signs are starting to appear on several Polish building sites in retaliation for the bad experiences of a number of migrant workers.
