Ex-mayor to sell car on e-bay

Former Galway Mayor Niall O Brolcháin is auctioning his environmentally-friendly mayoral car on eBay for charity. The car is a 2006 registration, Toyota Prius.

Last year, the Green Party councillor and recent Dáil candidate turned down the traditional Mayoral Jaguar in favour of the more fuel-efficient Toyota Prius.

The hybrid car, which has an electric as well as petrol engine, is now up for auction on the eBay auction website in conjunction with Tom Hogan Motors. Proceeds raised will be split between fifteen Galway charities.
