The evening was a Leadership and Nurturing Talent workshop for all their leading clients including Boston Scientific, Thermo King, SAP, Valeo, BMR, Pivot, Goodman Medical,Creganna, Synecco and Merit Medical in Galway.

The workshop was hosted by entrepreneur and specialist coach in personal brand, image, presentation skills and leadership communications Russell Amerasekera.

Russell is an expert in helping high-performing people to create a powerful personal brand, which will have impact and presence.

Through an interactive presentation, Russell provided the framework for these leading Galway companies to instil and foster a strong self-belief system and how to become a key person of influence within your team and within your industry.

Established in 1997, the generalist agency that recruits across a number of sectors including technical engineering, science, HR, Finance and supply chain for the Multinational sector has now also expanded to Cork and Dublin but with their HQ still based in Galway.

In 2015, the company was shortlisted for two major awards at the National Recruitment Federation (NRF) Awards. The company’s Principle Consultant Deirdre Finnerty took home gold at the NRF awards, claiming the prestigious title of Recruiter of the Year.

“As a company we’re continually evolving and challenging not only our own beliefs but also the status quo. We felt we wanted a name that reflected where we are now and we’d like to be heading into the future.

“It’s an exciting time for all of us at Hero, it’s full of potential. It’s about the willingness to be brave with the understanding we won’t always win, but we will learn,” explained Roisin McNamara of Hero Recruitment.
