EU MEETING ON OUTER CITY BYPASS NEXT WEEK

Galway West Fianna Fáil Deputy Frank Fahey will meet with senior EU officials from the European Commission next week to discuss the City Outer Bypass.

Deputy Fahey will lead a group from the Oireachtas Transport Committee, Galway Chamber of Commerce and the American Chamber of Commerce for high level talks with the EU Environment Commissioner’s Chef de Cabinet Kurt Vandenberghe.

Deputy Fahey has arranged next Tuesday’s meeting on foot of December’s EU ruling on a similar motorway project in Germany.
