EU Commissioner to visit Athenry school

Galway Bay fm newsroom – European Commissioner Máire Geoghegan-Quinn will visit Presentation College Athenry this morning.

The Commissioner will meet First Year students to discuss their involvement in the ‘European Studies Programme’, which allows them to link up with schools in other European countries.

Presentation College Athenry is the largest secondary school in Connaught and during her visit Commissioner Geoghegan-Quinn will meet with Principal Gerry Doherty.
