ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT ACCUSED OF HOLDING TUAM TO RANSOM

The Dept of the Environment has been accused of holding Tuam to ransom by its indecision on the Tuam Water Distribution and Main Drainage Project

Cllr Sean Canney says the project, which is valed at 25 million euro approximately, would provide employment for 150 people over a two year period and would make the town more attractive for investment

Cllr Canney says this project is stuck in red tape for far too long and he’s calling on the Department to approve the loan, and allow the contract signing
