Entertainment for all ages at P‡draig î Conaire Festival

A fun-filled nature walk, followed by an art workshop will take place this Saturday, December 10 at 11.30am at Galway City Museum as part of the Pádraic Ó Conaire Festival.

It is being given by the artist, and Burren expert, Gordon D’Arcy, a regular contributor to Mooney Goes Wild on RTÉ Radio 1.

 

The Ó Conaire Festival will also feature a literary walk through the streets of Ó Conaire’s Galway, led by actor Diarmuid de Faoite, who has won both The Stewart Parker Trust Award and Duais Aitheantais an Oireachtais for his one-man play, Pádraic Ó Conaire.

This bilingual walk will take place on Sunday, December 11 and its leader is a man with extensive knowledge both of Ó Conaire’s work and of the man behind the work.

The walk starts off from the Galway City Museum on Sunday at 11.30am and promises to be a treat for anyone who loves Ó Conaire’s writing ,or for those who are curious to find out more about the author’s life.

These events have been organised by The Western Writers’ Centre as part of the Pádraic Ó Conaire Festival funded by Foras na Gaeilge.
