Enterprise framework for Galway’s rural communities

Galway Bay fm newsroom – The Jobs Minister says governement plans for a regional enterprise framework are key to employment creation in Connemara.
Speaking in the Seanad, Minister Bruton outlined the need for a framework to revitalise rural communities.
Galway Senator Trevor O’Clochartaigh raised concerns about north Connemara, describing it as ‘barren’ with regard to industrial development.
Minister Bruton says it will be a challenge, but said the government is working to end the urban ‘suck’ caused by a lack of opportunities.
In response to Minister Bruton, Senator O’Clochartaigh said without set targets, the migration from rural areas will continue.
