A FULL smorgasbord of entertainment is lined up for a packed Corrandulla Show on this Sunday, June 26, including music, song, arts and crafts, showjumping and agri events.

For the ‘early birds’ the showjumping kicks off at 9am but the highlight of this section will be the Connacht Grand Prix that begins at 3pm.

If Show Jumping is your thing then the Connacht Grand Prix is not to be missed it starts at 3pm and is sponsored once again by Kenny Motors.  There are three Show Jumping rings offering a full schedule of jumping competitions, these kick off at 9am.

A highlight of the day will be the showing classes. In the cattle section, Belgian Blues, Charolais, Limousin and commercial cattle will be on display starting at 1pm. Corrandulla’s Horse and Connemara Pony classes are always well supported – new additions include a Ridden Connemara Class and a Family Pony Lead Rein.    Entries will be taken on the day, however those who enter early can make significant savings.  Last but by no means least, the day will end with a Donkey Derby, always a big crowd puller and great fun.

New attractions this year are the All-Ireland Home Cook semi-finals which will be held alongside cooking demonstrations with chef Adrian form TV3. There will also be an Artisan Food Village. Also watch out for the pig, poultry, pet and dog show (starts 1pm) areas.

Arts & Crafts of all kinds will be on display in the new gymnasium adjacent to the main field, sponsored by Creaven’s Costcuters Corrandulla. The ever popular Bonny Baby competition organised by local creche and playschool “Croi na nOg”, will take place in the hall, starting at 3pm.
