An end could be in sight for people in the Clarinbridge area who are affected by a Boil Water notice which has been in place since November.

Traces of cryptosporidium were found in the public water supply and the County Council and the Health Service Executive imposed the Boil notice.

However, the County Council is now looking at the possibility of splitting the Tuam water supply to start supplying the Clarinbridge area as well.

Director of Services for Galway County Council, Jim Cullen says there could be and end to Clarinbridge’s water woes shortly.
