Emergency works on Lurga Bridge near Gort due to start on Monday

Galway Bay fm newsroom – The L-4514 will be closed at Lurga Bridge near Gort on Monday to facilitate emergency bridge repair works.
The major works will see the closure of the road from 8am on Monday until Friday the 21st of September and motorists are advised to take alternative routes.
According to Loughrea councillor Michael Fahy, a number of cracks have formed on the bridge due to the recent spell of dry weather.
