Emergency services say it has been a relatively quiet Christmas in Galway

There have been no major road incidents, fires or crimes during Christmas Day and St Stephens Day

Gardai and the fire call out base for the West say it has been very quiet

Two units of the city fire service attended a fire at a convenience store in High Street yesterday

It broke out at lunchtime yesterday

It took just an hour to extinguish and no one was injured
