EMERGENCY SERVICES ATTEND LORRY FIRE OUTSIDE BALLINASLOE

Three units of the fire brigade are attending a lorry fire on a section of the Ballinasloe to Athlone motorway this hour [3pm].

Emergency crews received a call for assistance at 2.30pm and are now at the scene between junction 13 and 14, near Ballydangan.

It’s understood the driver of the vehicle is uninjured.

Motorists are advised to expect long traffic delays as the carriageway is partially blocked.
