ELECTIONS TODAY FOR COUNCIL OF CONNEMARA PONY BREEDERS

Six new members will be elected to the Council of the Connemara Pony Breeders Society today.

Four of the six seats must be filled by people living in Connemara or the Aran Islands.

It’s part of an amended rule which states that 13 of the 20 member council must be local residents from now on.

The election of new Council members takes place at the Society’s annual general meeting which is underway in Galway city
