ELDERLY MAN ESCAPES SERIOUS INJURY IN KNOCKNACARRA ROAD CRASH

The HSE has confirmed that an elderly man who was involved in a road crash near Joyce’s in Knocknacarra is in a stable condition.

The 82 year old was the driver of a car which hit a wall at the end of a cul de sac known as the Old Clybaun Road, just behind Joyce’s Supermarket, at 12.45pm.

The emergency services attended the scene and had to cut the man from his car.

There were no other passengers in the car at the time of the crash.
