EIGHTY GALWAY MUMS AT BREASTFEEDING EVENT

EIGHTY Galway mothers took part in an annual global event to raise awareness of breastfeeding today at NUIG.

Irish Charity ‘Friends of Breastfeeding’ co-ordinated the regional leg of the challenge which was taking place in nine other venues wround Ireland

All mothers and babies were counted as they breastfeD simultaneously with mothers across the world.

The event leads up to national breastfeeding week taking place next week.

Tara Duggan, originally from the US, is a mother of three living in the city and she said they were delighted with the number of mothers taking part in the Galway event.
