ECONOMIC BENEFITS OF UPGRADE OF MAAM CROSS TO OUGHTERARD ROAD OUTLINED AT ORAL HEARING

The An Bord Pleanala hearing into the proposed upgrading of the N59 between Maam Cross and Oughterard will continue tomorrow in the city.

So far the economic and social benefits of the upgrade have been outlined to the hearing at the Westwood Hotel.

Economist John Kelly stated it would be a boost to the tourism industry.
