EAST OF CITY SIDELINED IN TREE RECYCLING SERVICE

Householders on the east side of the city have been sidelined by the city council in this year’s christmas tree recycling service.

That’s according to City Councillor Terry O’Flaherty, who says the single drop off point at Lough Rusheen City Council depot on the Barna Road is not enough to cater for the entire city.

Last year, five such drop off points were provided in areas including Renmore, Mervue, Newcastle and Grattan Road.

The one euro service begins from next Monday, January 9th and runs until Saturday the 14th between 9am and 3pm.
