The East Galway native mother of Health Minister, Mary Harney has died

Ballinamore Bridge native Sarah Harney, whose maiden name was Crehan, was aged 84

Her late husband Michael was a native Ahascragh and Mary Harney was born there in 1953

However the family, who had been farming in Ahascragh, moved to Dublin a few months after Mary was born
