EAMON O’CUIV DEFENDS DAIL MOTION ON MID-TERM BREAK

Galway West TD Eamon O’Cuiv is defending today’s vote in the Dail to allow deputies take a mid-term break next week.

The motion, proposed by government, was passed without objection from the opposition.

The Fianna Fail TD says the break from Dail sittings should not be considered as a holiday and simply allows TDs to focus on other work at both constituency level and otherwise.

As part of such constituency work, Deputy O’Cuiv will be holding clinics in parts of South Mayo on Saturday [Oct 27] due to recent boundary changes.

Speaking to Galway Bay fm news, he says TDs are not on holiday next week and have a significant body of work to attend to
