€3.5m funding boost for upgrade of Moycullen road
Galway Bay fm newsroom – 3.5 million euro has been secured to upgrade the N59 at Moycullen.
The allocation will be used to widen and realign the N59 from Clydagh into Moycullen and also includes cyle lanes and pathing.
The project has passed the planning stage and is now considered shovel ready.
Galway West Deputy Sean Kyne says the work is vital for the safe passage of pedestrians and cyclists on the approach to the village.
He told Galway Talks it follows a 40 year campaign.
