DWYER FAMILY TO MEET MEPS
Date Published: 11-Apr-2012
The family of a former GMIT student, killed by Bolivian state police in April 2009, are hoping that the European Parliament can get answers about his death.
Michael Dwyer was killed when police stormed his hotel room three years ago – today his family will meet with MEPs and ask them to put pressure on the Bolivian authorities to answer their questions.
The Dwyer family say they want to know what happened to their son – and who gave the orders to kill him.
The Tipperary man completed a four year construction management degree in GMIT in 2008 and during that time workes as a bouncer in the city.
Irish MEP Phil Predegast is organising today’s meeting – she says the Dwyers deserve to know what led to Michael’s death
