DRUG OFFENCES TREBLE IN LOUGHREA

A meeting of the Joint Policing Committee in Loughrea was told this week that drug offences have more than trebled since last year.

Inspector Conor Madden also said despite earlier warnings heating oil is still being stolen from tanks in the area.

The incidents were included in the latest crime figures for the Loughrea area.
