DRAMATIC DROP IN CRIME IN TUAM

The first three months of this year have seen a dramatic drop in crime in Tuam.

The figures were revealed by Superintendent Marie Skehill at last night’s joint policing committee meeting.

Superintendent Marie Skehill told the Joint Policing Meeting that for the period January to March this year the number of assaults in Tuam were down by 75 per cent on the same period last year.

She added that public order offences were also down by 14 per cent.
