Digital Awards lay the foundation
Galway will honour the best and brightest in the field of digital marketing throughout the city and county at the third OMiG awards, which take place on Tuesday, May 10, at the Town Hall Theatre.
And with the deadline for this year’s awards approaching, some of last year’s recipients have shared how winning the awards has impacted their businesses.
Doug Leddin of An Pucán was the winner of the People’s Choice Award in 2015. “It was just fantastic the whole OMiG experience in 2015. It really helped us to engage more with our customers and learn how each one could help us spread awareness and how we could help them enjoy their night life better,” he said.
Winner of Best Blog 2015, Rebecca of www.becboop.com has recently been named the number four beauty blogger influencer in the world by Onalytica.com.
Winning the OMiG award last year really motivated her to further develop her blog. “I moved to London shortly after winning Best Blog and having the recognition behind me really stood to my campaign proposals with brands in London,” she said.
Winners of Best Social Media, Jill Holtz and Michelle Davitt of www.mykidstime.com expressed their delight in winning the award. “The OMiG award has had an impact on our business as we can point to the award, and businesses considering working with Mykidstime can trust that we know how to engage with parents on social media to get their message out,” added Jill.
Public voting is still open for the People’s Choice Award until this Friday at 5pm via the OMiG website at www.galwaymarketing.ie/awards/. The voting will be capped at one vote per user.
The awards are held in partnership with Galway’s Local Enterprise Office, the Connacht Tribune Group, Bentley Productions, Cantec, Magnet and this year we are proud to have IE Domain Registry and Bank of Ireland as our main events sponsors.
This event will sell out quickly – so advance booking of tickets is essential. See www.galwaymarketing.ie/events
