DHL WORKERS INCLUSING ORANMORE STAFF ACCEPT REDUNDANCY TERMS

The majority of workers at delivery company DHL, including those at its Oranmore branch, have voted in favour of proposed redundancy terms.

DHL has seven regional depots employing 320 people, 32 of whom are working in Oranmore.

It employs over 1500 staff across the company in Ireland.

Last month, the company announced that it intends to make 320 people redundant by August.

Staff were balloted on redundancy terms and it’s understood more than 90 percent of the workforce have voted to accept them
