DEVELOPERS SLAM CITY COUNCIL’S DECISION ON NURSING HOME

The developers of a proposed nursing home in the city are appealing a decision to cut out the second floor of the development.

High Cross Developments Ltd are claiming that the condition set by city planners to omit the second floor was "out of the blue" and renders the entire project unviable.

The proposed 75-bed four-storey nursing home is to be located at the Clybaun Road – Western Distributor Road roundabout, opposite the Clybaun Hotel.

A decision on the Clybaun Road nursing home is to be made by An Bord Pleanala by October.
