DEVELOPER APPEALS TO AN BORD PLEANALA TO INCREASE CASTLEGAR ESTATE DECISION

The developer behind a major new estate planned for Castlegar is continuing his battle to make it bigger.

Joseph Joyce of Cahermorris Developments in Corrundulla wants to include an extra 27 units on top of 57 houses and apartments he has the go ahead for.

The council said an estate exclusively made up of apartments is inappropriate and so it refused the plans.

But Joseph Joyce is so determined the plans go ahead that he has appealed the council’s decision to An Bord Pleanála.
