DEREK NOLAN TO CONTEST CHAIR OF LABOUR PARTY

Labour TD for Galway West Derek Nolan has been nominated to contest the position of Chairperson of the Labour Party at the National Conference being held in NUI Galway in April.

Deputy Nolan said he recognises the position as an extremely important one at such a demanding time in Government for the Party and its members.

He lists as one of his priorities as encouraging and attracting more young people to join and participate fully in the party.

The current chairperson is former TD Brian O’Shea from Waterford.
