Department urged to provide funding for Claregalway road

The Department of Transport needs to prioritise the Claregalway Relief Road as a matter of urgency.

That’s according to Councillor Jim Cuddy who has been responding to numerous complaints from motorists and residents about delays through the village.

He says that the County Council is working on the design stage of the relief road at present, when it should be at construction stage.

Long delays are being experienced by motorists through the village not only at peak times, but throughout the day.
