DELORES KEANE PLEADS GUILTY TO DRINK DRIVING OFFENCE

Galway folk singer Delores Keane is to face sentencing for a drink driving offence in June.

The 58 year old Caherlistrane native pleaded guilty when she appeared before Glenties District Court yesterday [May 23].

Delores Keane was charged with drink driving in Donegal in March last year while a charge of careless driving was withdrawn by the state when she appeared before the court yesterday.

The Irish Independent also reports that defence solicitor Rory O’Brien said his client was entering a plea of guilty.

Judge Paul Kelly adjourned sentencing to June 27.
