Some of the best local and national bands who played in the Róisín Dubh this year are returning to the Dominick St. venue on NewYear’s Eve.

Disconnect 4, hardly together a year, have gone from strength and are delighted to be on the bill for the Róisín’s end of year show.

Since forming in 2004The Ghostwood Project have honed their slow-building, powerful instrumental rock and become on the most respected underground bands going.

Another local act, Mirakil Whip, cap off a year that saw them play a triumphant set at The Garden Party festival where they rubbed shoulders with The Fall’s Mark E.Smith and Hot Chip. Mirakil Whip’s heady concoction of synths and guitars has seen them build up a loyal following.

Topping the bill are Dublin based four piece Delorentos, one of Ireland’s hardest working bands. This year they released their debut album In Love With Detail, a critically acclaimed record that contained the singles Do You Realise and the shimmering Stop.

The quartet also played storming sets at Oxegen and Electric Picnic. And they wowed Indie fans while opening for Arctic Monkey when the English superstars played Marlay Park in June. Delorentos brand of heartfelt pop brings together elements of The Cure, The Strokes and Arcade Fire.

This packed bill is a must for Galway legions of indie fans and tickets (€20/15 members) are sure to be in big demand. Doors 9pm.
