DECREASE IN CRIME LEVELS IN TUAM

There was a reduction in the majority of crimes in the Tuam area over the past year.

Seven areas of crime and accident numbers were down for the 12 months to the end of last month, but there was an increase in burglaries and criminal damage incidents.

The provisional figures for the Garda District, stretching from Ballymoe to Headford, were given by Inspector Michael O’Dwyer at this week’s Joint Policing Committee meeting.
