Decision to allow waste facility development in Oranmore appealed

Walsh Waste Limited was granted retention planning permission by the County Council for the materials recovery facility at Deerpark, Oranmore.

In the appeal to An Bord Pleanála, it’s argued that the wording of the site and public notices is misleading.

The appellant also argues that the current use of the site is unauthorised and is not compatible with the permitted use of an indoor concrete manufacturing plant.

A decision is expected from An Bord Pleanála in July.
