Decision expected on next stage of new Garda HQ in city

Galway Bay fm newsroom – A decision on the shortlist for the construction of a new Garda Regional and Divisional Headquarters in the city is expected in the coming week.
The Office of Public Works is currently assessing applications from building contractors expressing their interest in the project.
The 15 million euro project involves the construction of a five story building with basement level car parking and secure landscaped courtyards on a two acre site.
Successful bidders will be placed on a shortlist from which tenders will be invited for the construction of the building at the greenfield site on the Dublin Road.
