DECISION DUE ON CONNEMARA GREENWAY AT END OF JANUARY

The future of the proposed Connemara greenway project is due to be decided on by the end of this month. (January 2013)

The cycle route between Oughterard and Clifden is over 51 kilometres and most of it would follow the old Connemara railway line.

A two day public hearing on the plans took place in December when submissions from locals and business people were heard.

An Bord Pleanala has set a target date for its decision of January 31st.
