DAMAGES AWARDED TO DERRYBRIEN FARM OWNER OVER LANDSLIDE

A South Galway woman who took High Court action for damage done to her farm by the Derrybrien Landslide 7 years ago has secured damages of over 340 thousand euro.

Mary Curley and her family farm a 16 acre site at Derrybrien and claim it was damaged by a landslide which happened over 3 days in October 2003.

The landslide happened during the construction of a wind farm in the area.
