CUTTING EQUIPMENT USED TO FREE INJURED IN GALWAY CRASH

SPECIAL cutting equipment had to be used by firefighters to free the injured after a two vehicle crash in the city last night.

(Saturday 30th)

The crash happed shortly after 8.15 on the Dublin Road at Merlin park, close to the Galway Crystal Building.

Galway Gardai, Galway Fire Brigade and Four ambulances rushed to the scene and a number of injured were removed to University Hospital, Galway.

But nobody suffered serious injuries in the incident and those taken to UHG were treated and later discharged.
