Customs seize €5,000 worth of cannabis in Wellpark raid

Around €5,000 worth of cannabis has been seized in a raid on a house in Wellpark in the city.

Two men – both aged 23 – have been arrested and are currently being detained at Galway Garda Station.

Acting on intelligence, a joint operation was launched between Customs, the Organised Crime Bureau and the Drugs Unit in Galway.

Officers seized 250g of herbal cannabis, which has an approximate street value of €5,000.
