CUSTODY REMAND IN OUGHTERARD MURDER INVESTIGATION

A 37 year old romanian man charged in connection with the investigation into the murder of Oughterard man John Kenny has been further remanded in custody.

Florin Fitzpatrick, with an address at the Green, college road appeared before Harristown District court today.

Florin Fitzpatrick is charged with withholding information in connection with the killing of the teacher and publican.

56 year old John Kenny was found dead at his pub in Oughterard on September 25th with his hands tied behind his back.

A post-mortem established he had died as a result of an assault.
