CUSTODY REMAND FOR MEN FOLLOWING RAID ON BALLINASLOE SUPERMARKET

Three Ballinasloe men have been remanded in custody following their appearance at Roscommon District Court in connection with the theft of €3500 from a Ballinasloe supermarket.

The three men are also charged under the firearms act of producing a knife in the course of a robbery at Concannons supermarket in Brackernagh last Sunday.

Meanwhile, a 29 year old Brazilian man also appeared before Roscommon District court charged in connection with the stabbing of a man in Ballinasloe town last Sunday.

The incident happened at an apartment at Riverview, just off main street at around 4:30am.
