CUSTODY REMAND FOR CITY MAN OVER ALLEGED SEXUAL ASSAULT

A city man has been remanded on continuing bail charged with the sexual assault of two children in the city over a three-year period.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, faces three charges of sexual assault involving one of the girls at two different locations on various dates between June, 2007 and December, 2008.

The 35 year old has also been charged with sexual assault against the second girl on October 3rd 2009 at a third city location.

Judge Mary Fahy remanded the accused man on continuing bail to next February for service of the book.
