Curtain up on Claregalway Festival of Drama

THE organisers of the annual Claregalway Festival of Drama have an additional aim this year – to lift the doom and gloom for the duration of the event at least.

Festival Director of Claregalway Festival of Drama Michael Hession told the large gathering at last week’s Festival launch that with the dreaded “R” word in the air, it was heartening that the people of Claregalway and the surrounding hinterland can simply unwind and treat themselves to nine nights of top class drama.

“What a wonderful and simple therapy with a break from the gloom”, is how Michael Hession described the fact that tremendous talent will be on stage in Claregalway Leisure Centre in the coming week.
