New songs, old songs and some poems set to music will be on the menu for a lunchtime concert by Padraig Stevens at The Ruby Room as part of the Cúirt International Festival of Literature this Saturday, April 12.

Padraig Stevens has been making music since 1966. His songs have been recorded and performed by Matt Keane, Eleanor Shanley, The Cabin Collective, Strange Boats and Ann Kirrane, but most notably by The Saw Doctors with whom he has been associated since their inception in Tuam.

Padraig has written a new show celebrating ‘Memory and Remembering’ especially for the Cuirt festival, and he promises it will be a fast-paced light-hearted journey through the world of words and music.

The concert takes place The Ruby Room in The King’s Head, High Street, Galway City, this Saturday afternoon at 1pm, Tickets €10, are available from The Town Hall box office, from Galway Arts Centre or online at www.cuirt.ie
