CRUNCH MEETING BETWEEN UNIONS AND HSE WEST

The future of the Galway/Roscommon hospital network is being revealed to health unions at a meeting in Merlin Park hospital.

The HSE has called a meeting at short notice after repeated requests for information from Impact, SIPTU and the INMO.

Clinical Director of Galway university Hospitals Dr David O’Keeffe and Director of Operations for the HSE West John Hennessy will address the meeting.

Funding for Galway University Hospitals, Portiuncula and Roscommon is expected to top the agenda.

Assistant General Secretary of Impact Padraig Mulligan hopes a clearer picture of the HSE’s intentions will emerge from today’s meeting.
