CROWD AND BETTING UP SLIGHTLY ON DAY 6 OF GALWAY RACES
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Crowds and betting at Day 6 of the Galway Races yesterday (sat) continued their upward trend since Friday.
The attendance at Ballybrit yesterday was almost 13 thousand people, an increase of just over 500 on last year’s attendance for the same day.
TOTE betting yesterday totalled just over 390 thousand euro, an increase of more than 63 thousand on last year.
Betting with the bookies was up slightly yesterday too, with a total figure of 877 thousand euro, an increase of almost 5 thousand euro on 2012’s figure.
